Introducing Xarops
In Catalonia we don’t understand Xarops as just"syrups" but as "medicinal syrups"- a tribute to the traditional role of food as healing and the founder’s origins. At Xarops, we’re reimagining this concept for today’s women, creating functional beverages designed to support the body’s changing needs throughout the hormonal cycle.
Xarops is more than a beverage, it’s a commitment to science and cycle conscious nutrition.
Our initial product line focuses on the four phases of the menstrual cycle: Menstruation, Follicular, Ovulation, Luteal.
Our Story
Some ideas ignite from a sudden burst of creativity, with minds gathering around a concept to solve a problem. Xarops, however, was built the long way: through a slow brewing of ideas and lived experiences, waiting to blend at the perfect moment.
After completing a degree in Food Science, the founder knew their path had to involve product development and design. Shortly before the pandemic, Spain experienced a powerful wave of online feminism and digital content creation. Virtual spaces and communities began to emerge, focused on discussing women’s needs through culture, art, medicine, and nutrition. Without conscious awareness at the time, a second seed was planted.
With a lifelong passion for food, its history, cultures, and the art of cooking. Constant exploration of new products and recipes naturally led to deeper questions, especially in a life shaped by a monthly cycle. Xarops emerged as a response to those questions, blending scientific rigor with a profound love for food and the act of nourishment.
Grounded in health, community and compassion. Lead a global movement that transforms how women care for their well-being, replacing stigma with knowledge, routine with ritual, and temporary fixes with trusted, evidence based support. We envision a world where functional drinks are a daily tool for hormonal balance, widely available across Canada and internationally, guided by sustainability, science, and care.

We have the mission to create functional beverages that support women’s hormonal health across all life stages, empowering them to feel better every day of the month, through accessible and effective nutrition.
So what are we doing?
Nutrition is a complex journey that starts before the moment we eat. From the first bite, mastication triggers the production of acid and pepsin in the stomach, setting the stage for nutrient absorption. While supplement tablets have their place when needed, we believe in the power of functional foods to complement them and nourish the body from the ground up.
A woman’s needs throughout her cycle are diverse. Often, the lack of certain nutrients can leave us feeling weak or experiencing uncomfortable symptoms. We formulate our products based on those specific nutritional needs, aiming to bring relief and support exactly when it is needed most.
Our first line of investigation started with the menstrual cycle. As you may now (or not, it’s okey!) most people’s cycle starts around the prepubescence and reaching to the initial stage of the menopause, meaning they can experience 450 periods in their lifetime. Se we got hands in the matter, we didn’t want to make the all classic flavors so we took inspiration in the world to make what food represents: diversity.
